The O2 Tales
Go to The O2 Tales!
Chaucer meets X-Factor in this Polly Melibee adventure.
The Canterbury Tales is a social picture of Britain in the 14th century. The O2 Tales is a social picture of Britain in the 21st century. Inspired by Chaucer's collection of 'sondry folk' who meet at the Tabard Inn in Southwark ready to set out on a pilgrimage to Canterbury, The O2 Tales sees characters from all walks of life coming together on a modern-day pilgrimage to the X Factor Live Tour. As they share with us the story of why they are going to the show, they reveal a little of themselves and a lot of the society in which we live in 21st Century Britain.
The O2 Tales was shortlisted for the New Media Writing Prize at Poole Literary Festival in October 2010.
